Artist Statement

I am inspired by nature and I try to express ideas that reflect intimacy and subtle relationships of color, texture and form.   In my paintings and sculpture, I explore the use of new materials and mediums with an awareness of natural shapes and textures within a restrained color palette. My goal is to engage the viewer to be moved by the work so that it may evoke a small yet timeless connection to the universe.
